Dennis Dean Drake
Age 79, transitioned to heaven December 9, 2025. He was born November 17, 1946, in Lansing, Michigan, to George and Virginia Drake.
Dennis served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He enjoyed playing volleyball, fishing, boating and water skiing. He loved being by the water and spent many summers vacationing with his family on Lake George in Northern Michigan. He also appreciated classic cars; car shows and drag races.
He is survived by his children, David (Shameka) Drake, Darek Drake, Daniel Kuhn and Tasha (Andy) Kuhn; grandchildren, Darius Drake, Dawson Drake, Syrena (Josh) Lane, Samuel Drake, Darianna Drake, Solomon Drake, Dakota Drake, Dayton Drake, Sophia Drake, and Laine Stanford; great-grandchildren, Grayceyn Van Horn, Isla Van Horn, and Daniel Van Horn; sister, Patty; and best friend, Jim. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elaine Drake; and sisters, Carol, Nancy and Susie.
Per Dennis’s wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
