Debra Rene “Debi” LaFeve

Debra Rene “Debi” LaFeve, 69, passed away on November 23, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan. Born on February 25, 1956, Debi grew up in the Holt/Dimondale community and later raised her own family there, spending most of her life in the greater Lansing area.

Debi was a devoted and loving mother to her five children: Randy LaFeve, Jennifer Massie, Ryan LaFeve, Josh LaFeve, and Adam LaFeve. As her family grew, life took some of them to different places, but Debi’s love kept them close to her heart, no matter the distance. Her heart expanded even further with the arrival of her eleven grandchildren, each of whom brought immeasurable pride and joy into her life.

She shared a special bond with her sister, Vicki Brown, and her aunt, Sherry Helferich-Edwards—relationships she cherished deeply. Debi is also survived by her sister, Brenda Leonard, with whom she connected later in life; as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and special friends whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn; her father, Ken; and her younger siblings, Becky and Scott. We take comfort in knowing that Debi is now reunited with them, as well as with her nephew Spencer and her niece Hailey.

A longtime football fan, Debi found joy in cheering for her favorite teams—the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, and Michigan State Spartans.

Debi’s unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  May her memory be a source of comfort to everyone whose lives she touched.

A memorial visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.
