Debbie was everything to me. A sister, second Mother, and best friend. We did everything together. We enjoyed going to Disney World, movies, board and card games. She taught me to sew, bake, read, tell time, be kind. I could make a cherry pie at age five. I could play Monopoly at age three. She gave me confidence. Taught me to think for myself. I knew right from wrong. Good and evil. To always put Jesus and God first. I will always miss Debbie but I know she will be in my future, in heaven.

What I remember most about my cousin Debbie was her smile. No matter what was happening she always had a smile on her

Debbie was my first cousin. I never saw her without a smile on her face, and kindness in her heart and words. Even when she was suffering with health issues, she was gentle, kind, and smiling. The beautiful relationships she shared with her sister Sharon, and with the rest of her family, were inspiring to see.

Debbie’s family was long time family friends of our family. I never heard Debbie speak an unkind word about anyone. She always had a warm smile on her face and a genuine interest in the well being of others. I remember her love of reading and her eyes lighting up when sharing a good story. She was a gentle, wonderful person with a giving heart.
