Age 90, passed away December 30, 2011. He was born October 9, 1921, in Tescott, KS. He began working for Oldsmobile as a service rep in Abilene, KS, retiring as an executive in 1982, after 31 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed his time at his cottage on Otsego Lake in Gaylord, where he loved to play golf. Dale was an avid Spartan fan and was a life member of the Elks, and had been a Mason since 1952. The family expresses a special Thank You to the caregivers at Fairview Adult Foster Care where Dale had spent the last year.
He was preceded in death by 2 wives, Helen and Kathryn. Surviving are: son, David (Laura) Percival; daughter, Pamela (Terry) Taliaferro; 10 grandchildren, Jamie (Tom) Donovan, Michelle, Andrew (Melissa), Nicole, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Claire, Matthew Percival, Brian Taliaferro and Jennifer (Clay) Cumiskey; 3 great-grandchildren, Travis and Jack Donovan and Caleb Cumiskey; 2 sisters, Cleo Richards and Dana Jackson.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church, 510 W. Ottawa St., Lansing, with The Rev. Anne Weirich officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church in memory of Dale Percival.
