We are so sorry to hear this news. Our sincere condolences to her children and grandchildren. Kay and Chris were dear friends that we met on Horseshoe Lake where we both bought cottages the summer of 1977. We had many happy times together at the lake with our families and other lake friends. We took a memorable Alaskan cruise together and shared many good times together over the years.

Kay was my sister Cathy’s mother-in-law; the mother of my brother Tom’s best friend, Mike Christensen, my future brother-in-law; as well as the mother of Cathy’s best friend, Sue Christensen. Our families were intertwined for many many years.
Kay was a woman who knew her own mind and expressed it with a determined spirit and great sense of humor and sarcasm. Like my own mother, she knew how to accessorize and dress like a lady, but looked just as comfortable in gardening clothes or ‘house coats’. Also like my Mom, she made a cozy, well-lived in home with candles burning all year long. Kay was always welcoming and friendly to me throughout the years. She will be missed by her family and friends and I wish her happy reunions with those she has lost throughout her long life. Much love, Sue Hufnagel

I still remember all the fun we had with Mrs. C as we called her. She loved having us all there as we were growing up and after that. Mike loved talking with her every week as he delivered to her place of work. We will always hold her in our hearts as she reunites with Susie and Chris. What a homecoming that must have been!! Love you Mrs C .

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike and Kathy, Scott and the entire family. We were so saddened to hear of Kay’s passing. She was a very loving and caring person. We spent many times visiting, playing games and just having a wonderful time with her and Chris. We have so many great memories. She is reunited with those she has loved and lost. Rest In Peace, Kay.

We had so many great times with Kay and Chris over the years. We, too, met them and their family on the Woodbeck Chain of Lakes. Chris was a UPPer, like me, and we also had some UP adventures. Kay was a great person and kind and giving. Our condolences to all of the Christensen crew.

My prayers are with Mike &Cathy , Scott and family. I so loved Kay and remember all the fun we had talking and playing cards. I am sure I was at the Christensen house more than at home. Most of our lunch hours were raiding Mrs C refrigerator for left overs. She never seem to mind sharing them. I pray she went peacefully. I loved hearing her laugh.

Kay was a beautiful person inside and out. Rod and Chris were on the fire department and on their days off they painted houses together and we became good friends. We went to Hawaii with a group of firemen and wife’s and had a great time. Love to you Mike and Cathy, who are very special and Scott and family.
