Constantin Tanase

Age 77, of Lansing, passed away, Monday, January 20, 2020. He was born February 27, 1942, in Bragadiru, Romania, the son of Constanţa and Ion Tănase. He was a graduate of Electromacnetica University in Romania with a degree in carpentry, and worked as Foreman Carpenter for over 50 years in Livonia Cabinet Manufacturing Company. He was a Veteran of the Romanian Army. He loved, and played soccer in minor Romanian League. He loved playing backgammon with friends, loved playing with grandchildren. He left Romania in 1989 to Greece, and then came to United States in 1990. Shortly after arriving in the US he got his citizenship, and loved America.

He was an honest, dependable, hardworking, kindhearted man, who always loved helping people. Loved living life, and had very good sense of humor that could uplift spirit of anyone he met.  He loved his friends,and loved his family even more. He will be truly missed, but his honor, and legacy will be carried on.

Surviving are: his wife Viorica Nicoleta Tănase son Sorin Tănase and spouse Amanda Wilson grandkids Azalyn, Audrey, Arabella Tanase and another grandchild in the way.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2020, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1701 E. Saginaw St., Lansing.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. There will be a visitation 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, with a 7:00 p.m. Trisagion service at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St., Lansing, Michigan 48933.
