Constance A. Sullivan

Constance SullivanShe left this world on October 12, 2021, and will be greatly missed by many.   She was born in Lansing on October 24, 1938, to Marion and Lucille Ames.  Connie sadly lost her mother at the young age of 12 and as a result, was very close to her father.  In 1956, she graduated from Eastern High School.  Connie became a bookkeeper and on September 15, 1962, she married Cyrus Sullivan and they had two sons together, Michael Cyrus Sullivan and Rodney William Sullivan.   Connie loved animals more than most anything, and throughout her life, she and Cy had many spoiled cats and dogs.  She loved being a grandmother to her grandchildren, and enjoyed a close relationship with them all.  Although we grieve for ourselves, we rejoice for Connie’s heavenly reunion with her family and other loved ones.

Connie was preceded in death by her mother and father; her sisters, Melba (Jim) Winsett and Jean (Bill) King.  She will be dearly missed by her family:  husband, Cyrus; sons, Mike (Aimee), and Rodney (Sarah); grandchildren, Kaliegh, Austin (Peter), Riley, Mira, Jake, Riley, Katie, Ellie  Piper and Jayden.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with interment to follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery.  Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon Monday until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital Area Humane Society in memory of Constance Sullivan.  Online condolences may be left for her family at www.EstesLeadley.com.

Dear Uncle Cy, Mike, Rod and family,
We are so sad to hear about the passing of Aunt Connie. She was a wonderful lady who always made us laugh. She was so much fun to be around. Many fond memories of spending the holidays with all of you when we were growing up. Our deepest sympathies. Love you all.
Kevin, Jennifer Winsett and family.
