Constance “Connie” V. Kosloski

Constance “Connie” V. Kosloski, of Holt, Michigan, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family while in hospice care on November 25, 2023, at the age of 85.

Connie was born on February 2, 1938, in Lansing, Michigan, to Bill and Joyce Hill. She attended Sexton High School where she met and married her husband of 67+ years, Kenneth A. Kosloski. Shortly after marrying on May 4, 1956, they started their family which includes four children, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, with two more on the way in February.

While raising her family, she worked odd jobs and later started an in-home child daycare business, working and raising many other children for 17 years, retiring in 1994. Connie enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, playing bingo, bowling, going to movies, taking painting classes and playing poker on the computer until the wee hours of the morning. She was an enthusiastic crafter, creating crafts for all of the holidays, for family gifts, and to sell. She loved all holidays and decorating for them, and was happiest with a house full of family, cooking, laughing and playing games. She loved her dogs, Pootsie, Duffy, Minnie, Maggie and Annie.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth Kosloski; sister, Karen Hill; her children, Joni Kosloski, Kenneth (Debbie) Kosloski, Peggy (William) DeWitt, and Paul (Cindy) Kosloski. She took great pleasure in the company of her grandchildren, Keri (Kyle) Brytowski; Kami (Micah) Buckwalter; Taralynne (Tom) Bramos; Molly (Jeremy) Patchett; Cody (Kalea) Morrison; Kelsey (Alex) Najm; and Hayley Kosloski (Zach Porritt). She adored every moment spent with her great-grandchildren, Marlou and John “Jack” Brytowski; twins Alexis and Jesse Campbell, Daniella and Kennidy Bramos; Noah, Audrey and Jacob Patchett; Graham and Brooks Morrison; and Jack Najm. She is also survived by many relatives in the Hill, Ingram and Kosloski families.

The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, 2121 Cedar Street, Holt. Burial will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 3:00-7:00 p.m.

The family wishes to acknowledge the caring staff at the Ingham County Medical Care Facility and also the Sparrow Hospice House of Mid-Michigan for the loving care they provided to her in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sparrow Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. Online condolences may be left for her family at www.EstesLeadley.com.

Connie was an incredible person that I have so many fond memories of. From paining at Becky’s to baseball game bleachers, the cases of Tab in the closet, all of the Alfred Hitchcock and Paranormal movies, the many road trips and for being an awesome grandma to my daughter. You will be greatly missed. Prayers to all of the family.

I have many fond memories of Connie while growing up as one of her daycare kids! I enjoyed my time with her while I attended elementary school at Midway. I remember her love for crafts! It was a joy to see her many years later when she attended my High School graduation open house. Sending my condolences to the Kosloksi family!

Connie and the Kosloski family took such great care of my daughter when she was younger. I have many fond memories of her time with you and your support. There were many days I felt she spent more time with you than with me. I will miss you Connie.

Connie my families second mom in the neighborhood. Her love and support thru the years not only to myself, but to all of my family. She was and is an incredible person. Do not ever tell her you are bored. DO you realize how many times I had to pull the dictionary out and look up words and there meaning.

My sincere condolences to you all! My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Connie was my second mom – I started going to her house when I was just a new baby and grew up in her care. It’s funny how I can still remember so many details about her and my time there almost 40 years later. I hope the memories I have of her and my time with Koz and Paul never fade.
I’m sending all the Kosloskis positive thoughts and deepest sympathies. May you find peace and comfort honoring her memory.

Paul I am holding you close to my heart and thoughts, this is so hard! I do pray you find peace, comfort and courage in the love you and your family have for each other and for your Mom. Your Mom was very sweet to me and I was so appreciative of her kindness growing up. I regret not being able to make it to the service, to at least give you a big hug! It’s been way too long my friend!

Connie was the best and will truly be missed! As one of her day care kiddos, I have so many fun memories of my time with her. She opened her home and her heart to me even beyond my day care days. Hugs to the family. I hope you find peace in the wonderful memories and legacy she has created.
