I’m so very sorry to read of Clem’s death. He was always a fun guy. He was a jovial guy who always had great stories to tell and funny anecdotes to share when we saw him sitting outside the cottage at Higgins Lake. My sympathy to Marie, his family, and his many friends. I’ll always hear his laughter when I walk by the Hufnagel cottage at Higgins Lake.

Marie and family. Clemmer was one of a kind and one of the very best. A man we admired for so many reasons. With all the great memories we have of Clem, our wine tours stand out the most. That plus Clem’s response after we ate at the “Italian” restaurant in Traverse City when Clem was asked if his meal was good.
Rest In Peace Clem.

Marie and family,
I don’t even have the words. Growing up and being a part of Clem and Jack’s antics was, looking back on it, an awesome and interesting adventure. I’m certain things are more lively in heaven with his addition. All my best to all of you.
Love, Craig

Marie and all of my cousin Clem’s family: So sorry to hear of Clem’s passing. Clem & I were both born on September 2nd, but 6 years apart. So many great memories, especially back in 1954 when I spent almost the entire summer at Uncle Nick & Aunt Rose’s home along with all of my great cousins, what an education I got that summer, especially our daily work breaks around the “cider barrel” in the basement, lol. May the Lord grant all of you His Peace during this most difficult time but rest assured that our beloved Clem is safely in God’s loving care. Love, blessings and prayers to all. Love, Jim & Stella Bishop, St. Ignace, MI.

My sincere condolences to the Hufnagel family. I knew Clem through my late husband, Tony Cruz, who served with him at LPD. Tony always spoke highly of Clem. May all your lifetime of memories bring you comfort as you face these sad days.

I will miss this Peckerhead! The obituary did not mention Clem loved to golf. Even into his 80s Clem could outdrive most seniors. HE LOVED TO TELL ME “Did you see that drive, I lost it after it got out there a ways?” I enjoyed playing golf with him. He never cheated, counted all his strokes and always bought the first beer.
God Bless You Clem!
