We will miss you Uncle Clayt or as I (Pam) lovingly referred to you as “Boss” having been my supervisor for a while at the plant. May you now Rest In Peace and may your family find comfort in all of the wonderful memories they were blessed to share with you.

Uncle Clayton was always ready to lend a helping hand. He helped me pick out my bike, and always had a hug to give

Uncle Clayt will live forever in our hearts, because while he lived he always made us feel Like we were important to him. He never backed away when I reached out to rub his head. When visiting my dad (his brother and partner in crime) he always asked about Tony and invited us to come over On several occasions he and Aunt Bev stopped in and spent the night at our home in Georgia while traveling to and from Florida. When my mom passed he ended his trip out west and came straight home to be with my dad. He and Aunt Bev really surprised us when, at the age of 91 and 87 they traveled 800 miles (chauffeured by Pat) to Attend our youngest daughters wedding Townsend breakfast at Flap Jacks and Taco Tuesday’s at the draft house will not be the same without Uncle Clayt Loved and missed.

Dad (Clayt) you will forever be the other dad in my life. You were always there for me and our family through the good times and the bad. I wouldn’t trade one day that you have been in my life, for anything! I can only hope that you and my dad are sitting back in your easy chairs in Heaven and having some great laughs (like you always used to, talking about Boobs) and having a Red, White and Blue beer! Rest in Heaven and save me a seat. Until we meet again….I will always LOVE you! Townsend families, cherish all of the wonderful memories we have of Dad (Clayt)!

Beverly I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Clay. We became very good friends through our biking interest. I always enjoyed meeting you both at the DALMAC ride signing when you both were there giving out the flags. We always had time to get in some laughs and a few jokes.

Sending you all love and prayers. Whenever we came up to Michigan, it was always so nice to see Uncle Clayt at Taco Tuesday. My daughter loved handing out stickers or entertaining the table with coloring or something else. His smiling face will be missed around that table.
