Heather and family,

Words can’t possibly communicate how sad I am for you, your family and all who knew Chris, that he will no longer be in our daily, physical lives. But, he will always be in our hearts and thoughts. Chris was a kind, thoughtful, giving young man who always walked a sometimes difficult path with a positive, confident attitude. I’m sure you are proud of him, as you should be. I can only hope that he came to us for such a short amount of time to teach us some lesson…perhaps to take the time to tell all those we love on a daily basis how much they truly mean to us…and perhaps to find time in each day to play, laugh, and make someone smile like Chris always did. He has shown us that life is precious and short, and never to be taken for granted. I feel blessed to have known him. And I pray you will find comfort and peace in the memories you have, and the knowledge that Chris is here with us in spirit…listening to us, watching us, and laughing with us.

You have my deep and sincere condolences, and prayers for healing.

I am an internal medicine doctor working at sparrow. I went to see a pt down there and chris was just rolled in on q stretcher by the EMS crew. I decided to sit and watch and offered for any help at the trauma bay. For whatever reason, this kid touched my heart just as soon as i took a glance at his face. I am very sorry for your loss. RIP
