Christine Brown

Age 57, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away February 14, 2015. She was born December 2, 1957, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, daughter of Rush and Vera (Watkins) Brown.

Christine was a loving and caring soul. She was so much fun to be around! She loved Bingo, playing cards and Dominoes, and being creative with arts and crafts. She enjoyed her friends and loved to have a good time, but she especially loved being around her family and grandkids.

Christine will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Allissa Brown, Orlando (Syreeta Brand) Brown, Sophia Johnson, Cliffton Leroy Bell-Flourry, Christopher Player and Thaddeus Brown; 18 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lem D. Franks, Floyd Franks, Tommy Brown and James Brown; sister-in-law, Clementine Franks; and other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Bobby Jean Franks.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at New St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 1717 E. Cavanaugh Rd., Lansing, MI. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family hour will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
