Cheryll L. Schaer

Age 70, of Jackson, MI, passed away August 20, 2020, at home with her family. She was born June 26, 1950, in Miles City, Montana, to Walter and Jeanine (Engesser) Hanlin.

Cheryll was a longtime member of Temple Beth Israel in Jackson. She worked for many years as an award winning telecommunications sales representative, working with major companies such as Chrysler and Comcast. Later in life Cheryll became a licensed real estate agent as well as a licensed real estate appraiser. She also was a successful Black Angus cattle farmer, and raised a number of crops, as she was a Master Gardener.

Cheryll is survived by her mother, Jeanine; husband of 22 years, Ira Schaer; children: John Corrigan, William (Shannon) Corrigan, Michael Corrigan, Bethany (Justin) Tilchin Schaer Higa, and Aaron (Karen) Tilchin Schaer; and grandchildren: Holden, Harper, Austin, Eden, Ethan, and Silas­­.

She was preceded in death by her father Walter.

Private interment services to take place at Temple Beth Israel Cemetery in Jackson. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Temple Beth Israel, 801 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49202. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
