Charlotte A. Kilvington

Age 58, was born Fort Sill, Oklahoma on February 20, 1965. She passed away in Lansing, Michigan due to COVID-related pneumonia on October 8, 2023

Charlotte was a longtime resident of the Mason Michigan area, and proudly served for 28 years as a member of the Michigan State Police.

She was preceded in death by parents James Edgar Marshall and Valoyce Jeanne (Pearce) Marshall and grandson Layne Ashcraft.

She is survived by brothers Jim Marshall and Matt Marshall; husband Ted Kilvington; children Michael Wellman and Ariel (Wellman) Luna; and stepchildren Matt Henderson, Jacob Barlow, Dorothy Kilvington, and Alice Kilvington.

Charlotte had strong ties to both Mason Community Church and to Robbins United Methodist Church.

There will be memorial service held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Robbins United Methodist Church, 6419 Bunker Rd., Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. There will be a memorial visitation 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, 2121 Cedar St., Holt, MI 48842, there will also be a visitation one hour prior to the memorial service on Thursday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Charlotte’s name to UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief https://umcmission.org/umcor/ .

My dear friend, Char. Your humor and “wonderful-ness” will be greatly missed! While we grieve for you here, thank you Jesus that you are now in his glory and are sick no more! We will meet again one day my friend.

On behalf of my family, I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Charlotte’s family and friends. Charlotte was a caring and thoughtful co-worker who was a truly positive force in our workplace. We were fortunate to have known her and worked with her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of her family and friends.

Charlotte was a shining light at OHSP, devoted to her faith and her family. Despite her health challenges she brought joy into the workplace. May her family find peace in their happy memories. Charlotte now finds eternal rest with her Lord and savior.
