Cathy was always such a sweet and kind person. I met her several years ago in Sneads Ferry NC when I was doing a vendor event there and she was also a vendor. One thing I will never forget is when she went and got fairy hair at an event which then inspired me to fairy hair. It just goes to show you, what a fun person she was. She will be dearly missed and remembered as a wonderful person.

To Cathy’s family and closest friends ~ I’m remembering you often in these days, and pledge to do so in the days ahead. Cathy was country neighbor girl to my husband, and a good friend to me in high school, and the years following. We were expecting at the same time when her little infant went to heaven before her first breath. While we were not close across the years, those earlier times, and recently through FB, we were planning to get together since her move back to the area, and in the recent loss of her parents. We remain thankful for these times in life that drew us together, and now, as her faith in the LORD takes hold for Eternity. Our prayers continue for each of you.

Cathy was truly a kind hearted person. She was my first friend in Eden. She will be missed by all who knew her. Resting and reuniting on the other side gives me comfort. God Bless and comfort her family.

Cathy was such a dear friend. We went on several getaway vacations together & in general enjoyed each other’s company. Our boys (Russell & Adam) swam together in HS on the swim team & then both followed careers in the military. Russell a marine & Adam in the army. Cathy will be dearly missed & I’m still so shocked she us gone. Most recently we were trying to plan a dinner & a movie date. I love you soooo much Cathy & my heart hurts for your family & grandbabies. You were truly one of life’s gems. Comforting to know you are resting & rejoicing with Jesus. Till we meet again.

I worked with Cathy many years at the Friend of the Court. She always spoke highly of her family and was readily willing to help co-workers in any was she could. She was always cheerful and smiling and highly committed to helping the families, especially the children, who were involved in custody cases that came before us. Cathy retired a little before I did with the goal of enjoying more of life. I am saddened to hear she did not get as many years to enjoy her grandchildren and family as I am sure she wanted.

Growing up in Eden with Cathy and Susan were part of the youth group that I longed to be a part of. A lot of memories of youth activities, choir etc… I remember when Cathy was attacked by a moose at camp. The Eden youth group went up to camp. It was a long night of fun and games. When we finally went to bed Cathy was cold and went to the commons area to sleep by the fire place. Suddenly in the middle of the night we here a loud crash and then the moaning. The moose hanging above the fire place fell off the wall and the antler caught her just above the eye. Thankfully nothing major. Once we knew she was okay we played up the attack of the moose. Those are the memories that I want to hang on too. I can’t believe she is gone but I know that she is now in heaven with her family and will take comfort in that. I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers. Praying that they will reach out to family, friends and Jesus for comfort.
