Carolyn Ruth Doerr
Dimondale, Michigan
Born April 16, 1942 in Lansing, Michigan daughter of the late Gerald and Delpha (Blanchard) Perkins passed away Friday, March 31, 2023, at age 80.
Surviving are her 3 children, Lorie (Don) Leys, Carron Braddock, and Michael (Lori Thornton) Wilson; 7 grandchildren, Nicole VanTassell, Travis (Erica) Bigford, Shaun Bigford, Bryan (Heidi) Doerr, Sarah (Chris) Totten, Jamie (Ronnie) Bray, and Samuel Braddock, Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren, Jordin, Noah, Teddy, Bryan, Leeam, Alayna, Carter, Skylar, Jace, Lily, Bentley, and Maverick; sisters, Louanne Heinze and Nancy Heinze along with many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Clark; brother, Gary Perkins, and her sister, Marilyn Pickens.
Carolyn was a retired Bus Driver for Lansing Public Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially looking forward to their Friday night dinners. She also enjoyed baking, crafting and camping.
A memorial luncheon celebrating Carolyn’s life will take place from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023 in the Clubhouse at Windsor Estates, 6661 N. Canal Rd., Dimondale, MI 48821.

Spent many of days in my school years hanging out with this incredible giving woman, I called Mom Carolyn. Ohhhh the memories. Sitting at that hugh table in the kitchen on Wainwright, laughing for hours. Great times. I thank her for being a part of my wonderful childhood! You will be dearly missed, Mom Carolyn. RIP.
