Carolyn Elaine Jester
Carolyn Elaine Jester, a dearly loved mom, grandmom, and doggy mom, graced this world with her presence for 80 remarkable years. On December 5, 2023, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire for generations to come. Born on August 14, 1943, Carolyn’s life journey was a testament to passion, dedication, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and doggies.
Carolyn’s professional life was dedicated to animals, where she cared and supported so many others who love their pets. Carolyn was also a top notch breeder of American Eskimos. She worked diligently to get American Eskimos accepted as a breed into AKC and succeeded. At the time, early in her career, American Eskimos were not available in a toy size, but she studied the gene pool and created the Toy size American Eskimo. And, the end result was award winning beautiful American Eskimos that won award after award, and many Grand Champions.
Carolyn was an amazing friend and supporter to others and also a great influence to the America Eskimo breed. She also started the Oklahoma American Eskimo Dog Club and served as president for several years. And, she was the kind of loving and giving person that just might give someone something right off her back if she felt they needed it more than she did.
Carolyn’s family and friends were truly blessed to have her in their lives, and will miss her dearly.
There will be no service. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

July 18, 2024 at 7:56 amMy heartfelt condolences. I met Carolyn when she handed me my toy American Eskimo puppy “Hollywood”, Boots’ granddaughter (who turned 18 in March). What an incredible legacy she left us all when she created the toy eskie. I am forever grateful. May she rest in peace with her beloved Wayne.
