Carole C. Hilzinger

Carole Hilzinger, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was currently of Royal Oak, Michigan.

Carole was born on May 21, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, to Marlin and Dorothy Campbell. She graduated from Michigan State University and was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Carole worked as a secretary for the Royal Oak Board of Education until she took on her role of devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. On February 27th, 1954, she married Raymond W. Hilzinger. Together they raised three children, Peter, Joy, and Diane.

Carole’s passion and dedication was to her family and her church. She was a lifetime member of the Royal Oak Christian Science Church. She was known for her gentle grace, poise, spirituality, sense of humor and ever-present joy. She was an inspiration to all that knew her. She will always be lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her 3 children, Peter John Hilzinger, Joy (Timothy) Marshall, and Diane (Robert) Henderson; 6 grandchildren, Will, Hannah, Marlaina, Lillian, Heidi, and Justin; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond William Hilzinger; brother, Marlin John Campbell; and sister, Jeanne London.
