Carol Sue VanAlstine
Carol was born December 24, 1949 in Lansing, MI and resided in Holt, MI. She passed away on November 20, 2025. After graduating from Holt High School, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University.
During her college years, Carol met the love of her life Norman S. VanAlstine. They married, moved to Lansing to work and start a beautiful family having 2 children, Jennifer and Norman K.
Carol was a dedicated and hard-working State of Michigan employee for 48 years. She recently received a Certificate of Recognition for outstanding Customer Service for her work.
Carol will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed time with family, working, shopping, and spending time on the patio hanging out and cooking out.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Worley (Paul Colligan) and Norman (Tracy); grandchildren, Samantha (Hayden) Platte, Tina (Sean) Kaspar, Austin Colligan, Nolan Colligan, Leland VanAlstine, Michael and Krystal Creaser and Brittany Bissell; great-grandchildren, Landon VanAuken, Gavin Kaspar, Oliver Kaspar, Stevie Kaspar, Harper Platte, Milana Creaser, Laila Creaser, Anjel, Julian, Lilianna, Carean Cosey, CJ Cosey and Carissa Cosey .
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Estes-Leadley – Holt, MI. Interment will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Holt. Her family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 10:30 a.m. until the service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Ele’s Place, Lansing.
