Carol Lee Robinson

Lansing, Michigan and Ft. Myers, Florida

Born October 9, 1940, in Ashley, Michigan, daughter of Edwin A. and Ann Keck, passed away at her home, surrounded by family, on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at age 79.

Carol was a loving and devoted wife to Bob Robinson, her husband of 53 years; a loving mother to her son, Ted (fiancée Tracy Mroz) Longdo of Lansing; doting grandmother to T.J. (Diane) Longdo of Lafayette, Indiana; adoring great-grandmother to Noah and Ryan Longdo; a sister to Billie Kay Sali; and an aunt to Tim, Brian, and Rodney Hull.  Also surviving are special friends Linda Stephan and Nancy Inghram.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Edwin A. Keck; her mother, Ann Wilkes; sister, Shirley Hull; brother-in-law, Luther Hull; step-brother, Edwin A. Keck; and daughter-in-law, Mary Longdo.

She was a graduate of the Capital Academy of Beauty and maintained her license until her passing, worked as a teacher’s aide within the Lansing School District for 16 years, and was the office manager at various medical offices in both Illinois and Kansas City.  She enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo, had a gift for decorating homes, getting her family together for the holidays and when she was younger she really enjoyed dancing.  Her main incentive in life, however, was her grandson T.J. and his family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020, at Deepdale Memorial Gardens in Lansing.  Memorial contributions, in loving memory of Carol, can be made to Compassus Hospice, 801 S. Waverly – Suite 200, Lansing, Michigan 48917.
