Carol J. Ammon

Age 74, of Holt, MI, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.  Carol was born December 9, 1942, in Lansing to Ernest and Virgilene (Levi) Hunt.  Carol was a graduate of Holt High School and MSU. She was a life-long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Holt and was active in the choir.

Carol enjoyed spending her time visiting their cottage in northern Michigan, snowmobiling, water sports, wildlife, and wintering in Arizona.  She was a loving caregiver to her family and her happiest times were spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren.  Carol was spirited and vibrant. Brain cancer gave her seven months notice. During that time she lived every day to the fullest.

Carol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harry Ammon; 3 children, Scott (Brenda) Ammon, Russ (Lori) Ammon and Ryan (Kori) Ammon; 9 grandchildren; and two brothers, Terry (Carol) Hunt and Tom (Phyllis) Hunt.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church of Holt, 2021 N. Aurelius. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 27th at the First Presbyterian Church of Holt, with the Rev. Kirk Miller officiating.  For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lansing – Stoneleigh Residence or First Presbyterian Church of Holt.  Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.

I had the opportunity of working with Carol at Sound Engineering. She was always so happy and pleasant. My heart goes out to her family. So sorry for your loss.

Dear Ammon family, we send you prayers during this difficult time.
Rejoice in the fact that she is no longer in pain and that you will be seeing her again. What a beautiful and loving wife, mother and grandmother she was to so many people during her lifetime. She truly leaves behind a wonderful legacy. God’s blessing to all of you.
