Carol Humphrey
Age 86, of Lansing, MI, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, in Lansing. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Carol was born on October 23, 1930, to Frances and Nettie Knight in Saginaw, MI. She was formerly married to Bob Dingman and Bill Humphrey.
Carol will never be forgotten by her beloved family: son, Robert Kip Dingman; daughter, Shelley and husband Greg Olson; granddaughter, Carly Johnson; and ex-husband, Bill Humphrey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Knight; and her sister, Joyce Schwannecke.
She lived her life the way she wanted – creating noteworthy memories to all those who met her. She was a beautiful, unique, intelligent, creative, funny, and caring woman. She was fiercely loyal to her children and family.
“When she shall die,
Take her and cut her out in little stars,
And she will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.”
William Shakespeare
We are fortunate to have known and to have loved her. There will never be another.

April 21, 2017 at 1:30 pmTo the family of Carol Anita. I would like to offer my condolences on the loss of your loved one and my friend Carol. I worked with Carol at the Secretary of State-Driver Improvement and she was definitely a one of a kind person. She was genuine, fun-loving and very passionate. Carol made you think! I always enjoyed her and we kept in touch up until a few years ago. Kip, Shelley, Carly and Bill-you were the apple of her eyes as she spoke of you so often. She was very proud of you. Remember weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning! May God Bless and keep your family in his care during this difficult time. I will always cherish her memory and I’m Blessed to have known her. Carol-rest in Heaven!
