She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Howard “Skip” (Ellen) Stanton, Robert “Bobby” Stanton, and a sister Pat Stanton.

Carol had dementia, and through the illness there have been some people the family would like to thank. Thank you to Krystal Cupp, Carol’s longtime friend, Krystal and Carol were weekend shopping partners, craft show partners and bowling partners, she was dedicated to Carol, and was by her side for the past year or more, offering help and aid whenever she could. Thank you also to Independence Village, Corso Care for their service and care for Carol.

Carol was a force of nature. Her opinions and thoughts were always on the right side of history. She was kind and supportive of Michael and I and we will always love her for that. She will be a lead angel in Heaven.

Carol was a very good friend of mine through the years. Even though I haven’t seen or talked to her in a long time I always thought of her fondly. I used to bowl with her for many years in league, state tournaments and national tournaments. We always enjoyed traveling with one another. Carol was a mother to everyone and the best friend you could ever have. My daughter Holly always called her “momma Carol”. I will see you again in heaven my friend!
