Bryan Frank “Bubba” Corner

DeWitt, Michigan

Born November 24, 1956, in Muskegon, Michigan son of the late Klon “Harold” and Marlene (Schlotter) Corner passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at age 66.

Surviving are his 3 sisters, Julie (John) Ross, Karin (Randy Hall) Corner-Ochs, and Susan Corner; nieces and nephews, Nathan (Amber), Justin, and Kari Ross and Jennifer and Chad (Alicia) Ochs; and great-nieces and nephews, Noah, Hunter, MaKenzy, Paytin, Everett, Nani, Cabrera, Kaylee, Nora, Ruby, and Adaline.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Klon “Harold” Corner in 2013 and his mother, Marlene Corner on May 23, 2023, as well as by his sister, Deborah Corner.

First and foremost Bubba loved spending time with his family.  He enjoyed Lansing Lugnuts games, listening to music on the radio (a few of his favorites were “Downtown” by Petula Clark and “The Caissons Go Rolling Along” also known as “The Army Song”).  As a child Bryan enjoyed bike riding, even though especially challenging with his cerebral palsy. Bryan also enjoyed going to concerts in the park, doing arts and crafts, especially painting, and slapstick humor.  He enjoyed his roommate, Tim, and adored his caregiver, Tashara, who was his angel on Earth! Tishara has been Bryan and Tim`s caregiver for 22 years.

A graveside service will be officiated by Pastor John Schleicher at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing, MI, in section H. Maps will be available at the entrance of the cemetery.

Memorial contributions, in Bryan’s memory, may be made to any of the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
