Bruce A. Eddy
Age 59, of Olivet, MI, passed away December 29, 2013. He was born March 11, 1954, in Flint, and graduated from Okemos High School in 1972. Bruce was an equipment operator at Phillip Scarboro Construction, and was a foreman for Francis Fine Homebuilder. In 1978, he started his own business in Dimondale, Bruce’s Excavating, which he operated until 1994. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Steamer’s Club. Bruce enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially camping, and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
Surviving are: 2 sons, Travis (Amanda) Eddy and Justin (Tricia) Eddy; grandchildren, Zaynah, Zaydee, and Branden; his father, Howard Eddy; sister, Lisa-Nicole Harmon; and brother, Mark (Jacque) Eddy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Eddy; and brothers, Keith and Scott Eddy.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Bruce Eddy.
