Joy, you lost a husband who loved you with all his heart. When ever I talked to Bruce he always mentioned you. Bruce had many friends , but none will miss him as much as I will. He was a loyal friend, that can never be replaced. If ever you need anything, I would be honored if you would call on me. Peggy and I will keep you in our prayers.

Dear Family of Bruce;

I became acquanited with Bruce while being employed at LPD. I enjoyed the fact that he was not pushy or overbearing in that his investigations were complete and well done. I am sorry for your loss and please know that the citizens of Lansing appreciate his service and his contribution to a better life. Again our condolences from LPD and should you need anything please ask.

Dear Joy and Family,
What a wonderful man Bruce was! I met him when I worked for Frank Reynolds, several years ago. Bruce was the kindest person! The world would surely be a better place if we had many more of Bruce! Please accept my deepest sympathy at his passing, may God Bless and Keep all of you, as I know He is keeping your kind Husband and Father.

Most Sincerely,
Dorothy Mather

Joy, I’m so sorry to hear about Bruce passing. What a great man he was. I know how much you loved each other. I really enjoyed working with him, and often teased him about being my “Great Uncle”. I’ll never forget how he laughed the first time I said that. Grandpa and Grandma Farr always spoke very highly of him and I know they loved him too. Please find peace and comfort knowing that Bruce is with them again.

Joy and family, we offer our condolences for your loss. Bruce will be missed. Bruce and I shared a special bit of humor over the fact some people confused us by greeting saying “Hi Doug” when talking to Bruce and vice versa when talking to me. So when we would see each other in passing I would greet him with “Hi Doug” and he’d say “Hi Bruce”. We always wonder how someone could confuse us as we did not look alike. He will be missed!
