Bonnie C. Buchler

Age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 20, 2024.  She was born August 8, 1934, in Marshville, North Carolina, to Robert and Bridie (Sims) Wallace.  Bonnie graduated from Marshville High School in 1953.  She met Robert Buchler during the Korean Conflict and they married September 17, 1954, in Alma, Michigan, where she lived the remainder of her life.

She leaves behind her husband of 70 years, Robert Buchler; children, Deborah (Eric) Salinas, Elaine (Steven) Morgan, and Robert (Jacqueline) Buchler; grandchildren, Ryan (Stacy) Melow, Andrea Onstott, Jessica Hines, Dylan Hines, and Coty Buchler; great-grandchildren, Allison Onstott, Bryce Melow, Adalynn Melow, and Chase Badgley; siblings, Barbara Newton, Mildred McMillan, Ricky (Peggy) Wallace, and Jimmie Wallace.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dena Buchler; grandson-in-law, Christopher Onstott; siblings, Kermit Wallace, Bobby Wallace, Gary Wallace, and Thelma Patterson.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Masonic Pathways, 1200 Wright Road, Alma, where her family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Alma.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation (to go towards the Jack F. Sanders Memory Care Unit at Masonic Pathways) or Community Baptist Church of Alma in memory of Bonnie Buchler.
