I worked with Bonita, she was a great person. She spoke highly of her Husband and her cats. She often spoke about her family when they would come to visit. She was a great person to talk with, Bonita will be missed.

Bonita was a friend of mine that I met at work. I would make her kitty cat decals and stick them around her office. She had a huge heart and a huge smile. She will be missed for years to come. Thinking of you Bill! So sorry for your loss.

I can’t image the hole that is left in the lives of those closest to Bonita. I am so sorry for your loss.

I only had the opportunity to see her a couple times a month and, in every instance, it was a positive and uplifting meeting. Sometimes we discussed work, but more often it was landscaping, yard care, and specifically caring for roses. We shared a similar passion for the rose. In fact, we both have the exact same breed and variety. As I trimmed my roses last night between the frequent showers I smiled, those roses have more meaning to me now. Bonita’s memory lives on in different ways for all of us. For me, I have a memory that grows and blooms each year. It causes people to pause and admire. Children stop and breathe in their fragrance. Bees and hummingbirds to circle and drink in the richness. Thank you Bonita for imparting so much joy, you will be missed.

Bonita had an incredible heart. She adored her husband, her fur-babies, nature, and being active. A few of us would meet up monthly, for dinner dates, and she was a great listener and always took a genuine interest in hearing about her friends’ lives. She had a heart of gold, and a motherly instinct that put people at ease. She was adventurous, always sent the best cat memes, and had the best laugh!

You were taken too soon Bonita, and you will be missed immensely. I’m so grateful for your friendship and the memories we share. I wish you peace. Fly high, friend.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to work alongside Bonita for the past few years. She was always trying to help others and truly a warm and kind person. We spoke on the phone a few weeks ago, I am so glad that she reached out to me that day so we had a chance to catch up and exchange a few laughs. I am so sad that I won’t get another chance to talk to her, she will be missed tremendously. Rest in peace, Bonita.

R.I.P. Bonita. You fought valiantly. Now is the time for rest as you begin your eternal journey. Being with others – who you lost at one point – must be rewarding, even tho’ everyone you knew here is mourning your loss. Our prayers are for the repose of your soul and spirit, and for Bill to be given the strength to bare your loss. You were a wonderful friend at a time that Cathy and I consider the happiest one year of our life in Santa Fe and you and Bill were a major reason. God Bless you always, Al & Cathy

I have so enjoyed working with Bonita, we were on the CARS project together and enjoyed talking about home improvements, vacations and everything else, she had the best smile. I didn’t see her as much after she left CARS, but we would both park further out in the parking lot and would walk in together from time to time and we enjoyed talking and getting caught up.
Sending all my thoughts and prayers to her husband and all that loved Bonita.
Rest in Peace, Bonita, you will not be forgotten.

I met Bonita at work (DEQ) and she quickly became a close friend. Words cannot express how much I will miss her texts and calls. I had the privilege to sit with her at a couple of her doctor appointments. It was an honor to have her in my life. Hugs and prayers. Darlene Harris

I had the pleasure to get to know Bonita back when she joined the Information Security and Control Division. She was always smiling that seemed to be contagious. We spent a lot of time talking about her cats and the crazy things they did, as well as her travels. After going our separate ways Bonita always made it a point to stay in touch. She made a positive impact on so many people. May she rest peacefully. Prayers for a peaceful heart and closure to her husband, family and friends as they navigate this difficult time.

Bonita was full of energy and always willing to assist with anything she could. She was a fine storyteller, particularly about her journeys throughout her life to 47 different states. She had a gift for putting things in perspective and helping us recognize the positives in any situation. Her optimism and strength were truly remarkable. I will miss her amazing partnership at work, but I will miss her far more as a friend. I am thankful to have known Bonita and the wonderful person she was. May the fond memories of Bonita give strength to Bill and their family.
