Betty Jo Pettit
Born August 10, 1936, in Harbor Springs, Michigan, daughter of the late Earl William Butler and G. Isabelle Johnston, passed away June 3, 2026.
Betty graduated from Harbor Springs High School. She worked at Dart Container for 8 years, was a homemaker, and volunteered for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bruce D. Pettit, Jr. Survivors include her son, Bruce D. Pettit III; daughter, Brenda K. (Dan) Pettit-Enghoffer; grandchildren, Miranda (Ty) Haskell, Bruce D. (Taylor) Pettit IV, Brittany (Nico Fenn) Pettit, and Danial (Brittany) Enghoffer; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, where her family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Heartland Hospice in memory of Betty Pettit.

June 6, 2026 at 9:41 pmI have so many good memories talking with Betty when I took care of her at Masonic. She was the kindest, sweetest person. She will never be forgotten. We had alot of laughs together. Thoughts and prayers to the family. Your all in my thoughts.
