Dear Aunt Betty, You were such an important player in my life Aunt Betty. You were only sixteen when I was born, and you were enthusiastic about me as a little child; Thank you for that.
You and mom were close despite your age differences and I always counted on a family gathering when Holidays came. The women in the family had great chats over kitchen chores. I have a dear picture of you holding Kay Ann and mom holding Greg. Sisters and their babies, born two months apart.

You never forgot my birthday, or even my children’s birthdays, and always sent cards and a little gift of $$. So sweet. I always knew you were smart too. You had a responsible job for many years. You were such a devoted wife and mother AND mother-in-law to Grandma Durling. And even though Alzheimers may have taken a toll, I know you had capabilities unthought of for someone with this diagnosis. Your social graces were very impressive. I will miss you forever, Diann

Brenda and Kay,
I worked with your dad for many years and, as a result of our friendship, I got to know your mother, too. You can be very proud of both your parents. After your dad’s passing, I continued to exchange Christmas cards with your mother for a few years after she moved to Columbus. I will cherish her memory, and Joyce and I will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers this week.
