Bettie Louise Wall
Bettie Louise (Posey) Wall, 91, left us on October 3, 2022.
She is proceeded in death by parents, Clarence and Rachel; sister Martha; and husband, Thomas.
She is survived by sister, Bobbie and Roy Cates; children, Vickie Miske, Pam Gradney, Barry and Mary Wall, Betty (Wall) and Keith Bonney, Thomas and Velvet Wall, David Wall, and Robert Wall. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mom was born and raised in Union City, Tennessee. She met and married Thomas John Wall and moved to Michigan.
Moms greatest joy was being a mother, not only to her children, but to a large extended family including friends, dozens of her children’s friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Always available with a listening ear and serval hugs for good measure. Once you met Mom, you were family. After her children were grown, Mom developed many interests such as photography and painting. She became an award-winning photographer.
One of her greatest joys was the spur of the moment or sometimes planned road trips with husband TJ, fishing or with friends Mary and Pat. The destination wasn’t really that important; usually it was always the joy of the journey.
Never one to sit and watch life pass you by, her final years were spent watching her family grow, tending her garden, nurturing the flowers and battling the weeds, and feeding her furry and feathered friends.
Mom had a deep and abiding faith in God. It was her wish that her life be celebrated with a church service. Please join us in celebrating the life of Bettie Wall at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 11, 2022, at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 549 E. Mount Hope Avenue, Lansing MI 48910. Luncheon to be provided at the church after the service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the VFW National Home in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, or Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte, Michigan.

October 5, 2022 at 9:10 amMom, you were the best! I learned so many things from you. First about Jesus and His love, mercies, and grace. The importance of family! Anyone you care for is family and there’s always room for more. How to love others, even when it’s hard, and to have compassion. To enjoy the beauty of nature and wonders of all living things. I still struggle with the patience thing and cooking but I promise to try to do better. I will miss our daily phone calls and all the things that made you special. I am grateful for you and will always love you. Rest in the arms of the Lord.

October 5, 2022 at 12:16 pmI’m so sorry for your loss. I know that Betty will be so missed. I know that she is enjoying life with Jesus now, and all those that went before her. I wish that I had been blessed to have known her. She sounds like she was an amazing God loving, family loving, people loving, and plant and nature loving lady. My heart goes out to my sister in the Lord Pam, and all of Betty’s family and loved ones. God bless each of you, and may we all follow Betty’s example of love.

October 10, 2022 at 4:24 pmI want to thank all who have written such kind and loving comments about my sister Bettie. She was one of a kind. She was my rock. Even though we lived hundreds of mile apart, very few days passed that we didn’t exchange texts, voice mails, or calls. We shared thoughts, ideas, recipes, grandchildren pictures, and sometimes just silly stuff. We both loved nature, plants, animals, and our families. Our parents blessed us with these things.
Bettie will be greatly missed by this little sister, my husband – her Lil Bro, and our family.
