Berton E. Denike

Age 79 of Lansing, passed away September 14, 2021, in Lansing. He was born April 12, 1942, in Boon, Michigan to the late Thomas and Eunice (Evens) Denike.

Berton served in the Michigan National Guard, was a graduate of Michigan State University, and worked for the Lansing School District as the head of accounting.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Denike, children: Matthew (Tina) Denike, Dr. Michael (Jennifer) Denike, and stepson Jonathon (Abby) Woodard; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; brother William (Jennie) Denike; sisters: Sharon (Fred) Sprague, Debby (Steve) Hager, and Becky Martinez; as well as several nieces and nephews.

At Berton’s request there will be no services, a private interment will be held in Boon, Michigan. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Lansing Stoneleigh Residence, 3411 Stoneleigh Dr., Lansing, MI, 48910. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
