Bernice J. Whitenight

Bernice was a close and dear friend of my mother, Fern Barris, for many, many years. They began their friendship as coworkers at JCPenney in Lansing Mall, and through the years traveled extensively together across the country. They also enjoyed many adventures traveling around Michigan with Bernice’s son Ralph driving them to new interesting destinations while celebrating life with joy and laughter. Bernice was a kind, thoughtful and generous person, and I’m so thankful I was able to know her, and my mom was able to have her as a beloved friend for so many years of her life. Now they continue their joyous adventures eternally in the afterlife forever more. Rest in peace, dear Bernice.
