I have always though of Dani and Beck as 2 of the top ten kindest people I have had the privilege to know. It’s so hard to think of them being apart. They had a love that doesn’t come around too often. God bless his whole family who are all so special to us. Mike, Gina, Ryan, Marc and Tyler Anderson

My deepest condolences to his family and friends. I was so lucky to have him as an instructor for many years at Perry. As well as being a wonderful teacher, Beck also provided comfort and laughs in times that seemed tremendously hard. He will be remembered so fondly.

Beckett was an amazing teacher with a passion for music and making it fun. I can recall one concert where he came out dress in a clown costume to conduct the band. I will remember him with fondness. Praying for his family and friends and everyone his life touched. God bless

Beck and I were sub bus drivers together almost ten years ago. When several drivers retired we both took routes, and when our then supervisor took a position with another district Beckett got talked into applying for and becoming the supervisor for Holt Public Schools Transpotation. At the time we had 17 drivers for 21 routes. We scrambled every day to cover routes. But even though we were stressed Beck made coming to work fun. We laughed every day. Every day. Much of the time we laughed so hard we were in tears.
Beckett has the craziest (And often slightly inappropriate – but NEVER mean) sense of humor. Probably the wittiest person I’ve had the privilege of knowing. He understood people at their core. And saw the humor in almost any situation. Well any situation that didn’t involve the safety of the kids we transported. Beckett was deeply passionate in his commitment to the safety and well being of all the students on our buses.
In addition to having worked with Beckett, we are neighbors. Beckett, Dani and the kids are beloved members of our community.
My heart goes out to Dani, the kids and their extended family. Please know that we grieve with and for you.
And, in honor of my friend….Go Packers!

Dear Dani, Adrian, Jessie, and Uriah,

It was a joy to work with Beck at Perry Middle School. He lit up the room with his smile and wonderful sense of humor. He was an enthusiastic and gifted educator, that loved inspiring kids to experience the magic of music. He will be dearly missed, but live on in the memories and hearts of all that knew him.

I send you my deepest sympathy and prayers for your hearts to find peace and comfort together.

I am so deeply saddened to learn of Beck’s death. I, too, loved working with him at Perry Middle School “back in the day.” Always quick with a joke or support. One of my favorite memories was another colleague (Glenn) and I would chant “Ber-ger! Ber-ger!” when Beck walked by between classes (which turned into pictures of hamburgers taped on rulers). It seems a little weird to write down, but we all laughed at the time. My heart breaks with yours and I hope that you are finding comfort in friends and family during these hard times.
