Barbara Ann Kaye
Age 94, of Lansing, MI, passed away March 28, 2018. She was born July 8, 1923, in Manistee, MI, to Harold and Bertha Bates.
Barbara was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lansing for over 40 years. She was an avid seamstress, an excellent homemaker, and she was also a member of the American Sewing Guild.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Richard Brauker, and grandsons Andrew Ladwig and Jonathan Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne F. Brauker; her husband, Andrew Kaye; and her daughter, Nancy Sheffield.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church of Lansing. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association or the First Presbyterian Church of Lansing.

I’m so sadden about your Mother’s passing. I’ll never forget, she taught me how to sew. She was such a good lady.

July 16, 2018 at 11:52 amDear RIck, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. For some reason she crossed my mind today and I discovered this obit. I’m sure by now she & my parents – Betty & Harold Monske – have hooked up and are laughing together once again. I know she & my mom were like sisters, and used to spend hours on the phone before my mom got sick. Mom’s been gone since 2014 and we lost dad last August. Hope you can find comfort in your happy memories of a life very well lived.
