I am so sorry for your loss. I met Barb in 1980 something we both were bowling on the DNR ladies league at Royal Scott. After I was no longer bowling I ran into Barb at my family’s bread store, and see her from time to time. One afternoon she came in while I was working and told me she was expecting a grandson and his name was going to be Liam Lamke! I told her how much I liked that name. She explained that when her grandson was going to tell people what his name was, when he was little it would be pronounce it as Wiam Wamke’! I lost it and couldn’t stop laughing and other customers, that were waiting, found it pretty hilarious too!! When we sold our business I had a job with MSP. There were two sisters that worked with me. They were in a dressing room, Barb was there, So it ended in a gab fest and they met up for dinner that same week. They had never met her before this!! I know she loved her family just by the way she spoke about them. So glad we had crossed paths so many years ago. I will always remember the Wiam story and your mom will be missed. Your mom gave me some good stories to tell!

Barb and I grew up in Muskegon Michigan and went all thru school together as did the neighborhood girls Mary, Wendy, Diane, Linda, Jane and Lieschen. We kept up our friendship throughout the years and we will always miss her.
Hugs Barb,
