Austin Ryan Colligan

DeWitt, Michigan

Born on June 27, 1997, and passed away on June 13, 2026, at the age of 28. He is already deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Austin is survived by his loving mother, Carrie Kellogg (Lonnie), sister, Anna Martiny (Brad), brother, Ben Dawson (Jennifer), his aunts and uncles, Kristen Stewart, Scott Napier (Renatta) and Robbie Napier (Martina), his loving father, Paul Colligan (Jennifer); his siblings, Samantha Platte (Hayden), Christina Kaspar (Sean), and Nolan, and his aunts and uncles, Pam Loch (Dan) and Norm VanAlstine (Tracy), all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Austin loved his grandparents, Bob and Sharon Napier and Paul and Rosie (Lola) Colligan (deceased). He deeply cherished his nieces and nephews, Harper, Hadlee, Hyatt, Jackson and Olivia; Landon, Gavin, Oliver, Stevie and Harpy.

Austin was a proud graduate of Western Michigan University (WMU), where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management. Like his father, Austin was also an esteemed member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He was currently enrolled at Wayne State University working toward a masters degree in Automotive Supply Chain Management.

Austin had a love for Manchester United F.C., country music, and college sports; preferably WMU and University of Michigan. His love for Boston began during a trip when he was 12 years old which led to his loyalty to the Boston Celtics, Red Sox, and New England Patriots.

With his dry sense of humor, Austin could get the toughest of frowns to crack a smile. In his own pursuit for adventure and thrills, Austin found his perfect role at Penske that allowed him to extensively travel the United States and Mexico– racking up all the air and hotel points were a bonus. Austin was passionate about soccer, waking up at all hours of the day to cheer his team on and then in turn, shared this passion with everyone around him who would listen. He was self-disciplined in everything he did including waking up at 4:00 a.m. to lift weights at the gym, always pushing himself to go a little bit further. Austin adored our country and his unwavering patriotism will forever ring loud and free.

Please know that Austin loved all of you; just as much as you loved him.

Such a wonderful young man who I met during his tenure at AF Group. I called him “BIG” because I knew he was headed towards a big\extraordinary life! I will certainly miss my young friend who I simply adored.

My sincere condolences to the entire family on your loss. Austin travelled to Atlanta on numerous occasions to help my team as we were undergoing renovations. He always went the extra mile to ensure my team and my site felt supported. May God bless Austin and may God bless you all.

I have tried to type this several times…there is no capturing the spirit of Austin and his impact on our team. He was a bright colleague, highly regarded by executive leadership and so many others in all levels of the company. I cannot express how thankful I am to have had the pleasure of watching him grow and helping him find a path with Penske. He inspired the rest of us to be good, to workout!, and to smile. There is a very large group of people that will miss him very much…he was our friend.

Dear Carrie… my heart aches for you and your family. Austin sounds like he was not only accomplished at a young age, but also a vibrant soul on his way to greatness! You, no doubt, helped him on his path! Never forget that, and cherish those memories. No words can take away your grief, but God’s words may give you comfort. God bless you my friend, and the rest of your family as well.

I am so sorry to hear of Austin’s passing. I have great memories of him from school and many, many soccer practices and games. He was a great teammate and a joy to be around in class. I will remember Austin as a bright light in the lives of many, always able to put a smile on my face through a joke or making a funny observation.

I’m praying for Austin, his family, and all who are grieving his loss. He will be dearly missed by myself and my family. May his memory be eternal!

Thank you for sharing these memories of Austin. Reading about his passions, humor, discipline, and love for the people and things that mattered most to him paints such a vivid picture of who he was.
As someone who worked with Austin, it’s especially hard to process that he’s gone. It feels impossible knowing that just two weeks ago we were talking about work, projects, and the future, and now we’re left with the disbelief of his absence. I always appreciated his dedication, his work ethic, and his sense of humor. He had a way of making people smile and brought genuine enthusiasm to everything he cared about.
I loved talking soccer with him and sharing our passion for the game and our favorite team. His excitement was contagious, and it was clear how deeply he cared about the people around him. Austin made a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know and work with him.
My heart goes out to you and your family. Thank you for sharing these beautiful memories of your son. He will be remembered, missed, and spoken of often by those whose lives he touched.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with many members of this family, and had the unique privilege to briefly work with austin. He was always a funny guy, and it was so easy to talk to him, especially about sports, or even complain about them as well.
My condolences to the family, and please know that the Green family is with you for anything that you may need.
