Arthur K. James
Age 84, of East Lansing, MI, passed away May 3, 2016. He was born November 5, 1931, in Lansing, MI, to Kenneth and Vera James.
Arthur proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a longtime member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #7.
He is survived by his son, Mark James; daughter, Lauri (Bill) Carpenter; grandchildren, Amanda (John) Boeckstiegel, William (Hana) Carpenter, Matthew James, and Lindsey (Ian) Forney; great-granddaughter, Aniston; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carole James; brother, Edward James; and sister, Frances Nelson.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. A private family graveside service will then be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice (formerly Hospice Advantage). www.EstesLeadley.com
