Arlene K. Powers
On Saturday, October 30, 2021, Arlene, of DeWitt, MI, passed away at the age of 81.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Mitch, of 52 years. Arlene will be missed dearly by her children: Thomas, Harold, Douglas, Ronald and Mitchel Jr. along with 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter Koni.
Arlene was a loving, thoughtful, kind, generous woman. She enjoyed many outdoor activities such as gardening, walking, and boating up north at the cabin. She loved to play Farkle and other card games with her friends and neighbors. She was on a bowling league for many years as well. One of her greatest joys was hosting holiday gatherings with the family and cooking lots of food.
A memorial will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Her family will receive relatives and friends after the service from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
