I’ve only knew Arlene for about 2 years but she most certainly will forever be in my heart & missed tremendously. I was always greeted with that beautiful smile; twinkle in her eye and hug if she could get to me. Her contagious smile and laugh will be missed be not forgotten. Rest Peacefully Beautiful, I Love You!

We are saddened to hear of Arlene’s passing. She was the most wonderful neighbor we could have had. She was always so cheerful and would always put a smile on our face when we talked to her. Even when she wasn’t feeling well, she could make you laugh. We loved her as a friend and neighbor and going to miss her. Our condolences to the family.

I have known my beautiful Arlene nearly my whole life since I was 7. We moved from Michigan when I was 9 but have remained friends for 51 years. I could always call her and she would lift my spirits if I needed it. She could always make me laugh with her infectious laugh. I loved her so much and will miss our phone conversations. I love her family as well and feel they are mine. Love you Hammond family my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Her and Uncle Doug are happy and together again.

Marianne and Chuck;
We were so sorry to hear about your mom. She was such a special soul and will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Her laughter would fill any room and the twinkle in her eye would reach to Heaven. May perpetual light shine upon her and may her soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. (I can just visualize her walking hand in hand with Doug and Steve!)
With our love and deepest sympathies to you and all the family,
Jodi and Ken

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Arlene. She was a dear, dear lady. It was solely from the suggestion and encouraging words from Doug and Arlene that I began my 31+ year career working for DeWitt Township. I have many fond memories of working with both Doug and Arlene on major holidays serving coffee at the rest areas with the Lansing REACT group. I loved her laugh. Oh how she loved her family. Whenever she would stop at the Township, she would also catch me up on the latest with the grand kids. She will be missed.
