Anna Zivic
She was born April 24, 1926, in Beli Monastir, Yugoslavia, and passed away September 22, 2020, at the age of 94. Anna, along with her husband, Dobri and her son, Peter, came to the United States on Valentine’s Day in 1951. They built a family farm in Mason, and she worked for Kroger for over 30 years. She also volunteered at Ingham Medical Center for over 30 years, and was a longtime, devoted member of St. Andrew Orthodox Church. Anna was a phenomenal baker and gardener, and was known to hand-pick leaves from her immaculate lawn; however, her most prized accomplishment was raising her son, Peter.
Surviving are: her son, Peter (Brenda) Zivic; granddaughters, Susan Zivic and Christy (J.D.) Ramey; great-grandchildren, Noelle and Gavin Ramey; and sister, Theresa Semen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dobri; her mother, Anna Manojlovic; and sister, Vera Heiser.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020, at East Lawn Memory Gardens in Okemos.
