Ann Marie Hallenbeck

Age 91 of Holt, passed away August 19, 2026. She was born in Lansing on May 13, 1935, to the late Joseph and Emily (Barrett) LaFleur.

Ann was a full-time homemaker, which along with her upbringing taught her how to be wise with her money. Although she was a homemaker Ann also had a few parttime jobs working at Knapp’s, Lansing Catholic Central and was a Tupperware saleswoman. Ann had goal to save every penny she made, which she accomplished to a great outcome.

Ann is survived by her children: Cheryl Hallenbeck, Joann (Allen) Macchia, William J. (Kim) Hallenbeck, Lisa (Richard) Hayhoe, Ann Stavros, and Peter A. (Nikki) Hallenbeck; 10 grandchildren, Kara (Bob Vervoorn) Garrett-Vervoorn, Nicholas (Krista) Hallenbeck, Samantha (Joseph) Goris, Kaylee and Alexis Hallenbeck, Daniel (Allison) Hayhoe, Stephanie (Jamie) Westenbarger, and Ashley, Amanda, and Tyler (Katelyn) Hallenbeck; great-grandchildren, Olive and Riley Goris, Emily Garrett, Mia and Sophia Hayhoe and Gianna Hallenbeck; and brother-in-law Bob Lezovich.

She was preceded in death by her parents; William Hallenbeck her loving husband of 65 years, grandson, Richard Ashburn; siblings Joseph, Patricia, and Elizabeth; and a son-in-law, Steve Stavros.

The funeral liturgy will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel 2121 Cedar St., Holt, MI 48842 with Fr. John A. Byers as celebrant., interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday for one hour prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.
