Andre Friedlis
East Lansing, Michigan. Age 74, passed away on February 8, 2018. Beloved and doting husband of Judy for 50 years. Devoted father to his children Jeremy and Leah , and the late Jeffrey. Loving Papa to his granddaughter Teresa. Dear brother of Myra Ferguson (Thomas) and Dr. Mayo Friedlis (Pearl). Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Andre was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1968 and served the State as an administrative law judge continuously since 1970. February 9, 2018 at 11:06 pmJudge Friedlis was a fair and honest Administrative Law Judge, who treated all those who came before him with an equal hand. My clients and I have been honored to have had him sit as the ALJ on our cases. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

March 1, 2018 at 11:41 pmAndre was not only a dedicated attorney and administrative law judge for the state of Michigan, but also a devoted member, and past President and Board member, of the Association of State Employees in Management (ASEM), an organization that looked to protect and expand the rights of non-exclusively represented employees in state government. Andre was very committed to ASEM and was a tireless leader in expanding the membership of this vital association. His experience and guidance will be greatly missed by all ASEM members.
