Alice J. Wilson

Age 87, of Dimondale, passed away October 27, 2011.  Alice was born in Lansing January 15, 1924.  She volunteered for over 40 years at both Ingham Regional and Sparrow Hospitals, and was employed in the gift shop at the House of Ing.

She was preceded in death by son, James Melton; grandson, Kristopher Ryan Vogt; son-in-law, Robert Bell; brother and sister-in-law, Grover and Evelyn Smith; and husband, William Edward Wilson.  Surviving are her daughter, Vickie Bell of Dimondale; daughter-in-law, Sharon Pennell of Lansing; stepson, William Wilson, Jr. of Lansing; grandchildren, Kevin Vogt, Vincent Melton and Michelle Melton; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Bernadine Barnes of Williamston; nieces and nephews; special friends, Marcelene and Sheila Sheila as well as many other special friends and family; and special caregiver, Kim Jones.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.  Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.
