Aida M. Jildeh

March 22, 2022 at 11:19 amShe has a generous and pure soul, and her presence in this world only added to the goodness around us. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing her and the Jildeh family for half of my life, and as the matriarch she modeled the genuine humanity, dedication, values, and priorities I look to continue myself. She made me feel like family any time I was around, which was especially valuable as my own grandmother lives across the globe. Mrs. Jildeh’s humor always had me laughing at the dinner table, and her playful fighting with their pet dog Zeus was a continuous source of entertainment. Pictures of us all together will always warm my heart. Lastly, but certainly not least, I’m still working to lose the weight added by her world class kunafa. Rest In Peace, and may God forgive any wrongs and raise your status in the heavens.

October 4, 2024 at 11:08 amDear Raja,
First I’d like to say that your Mom was so Beautiful to me. She had a strong presence when she came into a room. I felt she was the rudder that guided your family, I did not know your Father well though. I do know he was protective. He was waiting the night I brought Mona home after 1 am, from our 30th class reunion! The light flipped on and he was at the door when we pulled in.
I always enjoyed my visits with Mona and your Mom. she made wonderful stuffed grape leaves!
She made me feel welcome at a difficult time in my life. That was when I was an unwed Mother raising my son Joe. The circumstances were not great but she didn’t look down upon us. She always had a kind remark to say that made me feel better about my situation. Coming from her, it meant the world to me. I truly enjoyed learning about our cultural differences. I am sorry I did not know at the time of her passing. My heartfelt condolences are sent to you now. May she rest in peace and know she was respected and loved. Drue
