What a wonderful lady and a professional teacher. I was in one of her math classes at Everett High School. She will be missed, we need more teachers like Mrs. Gallick.

It’s heartening to see the impact my grandmother had in the Lansing community and even beyond. Even decades after retiring, she was still in touch with many of her students. As far as me, I can attribute my stick-to-itiveness and refusal to quit from her, as well as my thirst for knowledge and wanderlust. From a young age, I remember her teaching me about geography (amongst other topics) and pointing out countries of the world and sharing stories from those she had visited; her stories, photos (my grandfathers), and souvenirs and artwork from around the world stoked my curiosity about the world and inspired my own travels, to countries she had visited, which allowed us to compare notes, and even those she hadn’t, which thrilled her to hear about. She always encouraged me not just to explore the world but to always persevere, which is something I’ve especially reflected upon as I set out in the early stages of my career. She loved hearing about my accomplishments thusfar and with her words of encouragement in my mind I look forward to future ones; I know she would be proud.
