Age 45, passed away January 20, 2016.  He was born September 13, 1970, in Lansing, to Paul and Janet (Schwartz) Abramson.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2016, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek, 1924 Coolidge Rd., East Lansing, with Rabbi Amy Bigman and Cantor Pamela Schiffer officiating.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALS Therapy Development Institute (300 Technology Square, Suite 400, Cambridge, MA  02139) or to Congregation Shaarey Zedek in memory of Lee Abramson.

    We will always be inspired by Lee’s humanity, love of life, musical creativity and devotion to high ideals. During the years when we lived in Lansing he was for us a model of dignity and bravery.

    Lee will always hold a special place in my heart. ALS is such a horrendous disease. He showed me how to continue to live despite the difficulties that are thrown at us.
