Richard H. “Dick” Linn

Richard, age 91, of Lansing, MI, passed away July 11, 2024. He was born May 18, 1933, to the late Henry and Agnes (Doherr) Linn. He lived his entire life in Lansing, MI, attending St. Mary’s School, and was employed with General Motors for 32 years in Plant Security, retiring in 1986. He was a longtime member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and was a huge fan of Michigan State football and basketball.

He married Nancy Amo of Howell, Michigan, and they were married for 72 years. Dick’s greatest love was his family.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Karin (Michael) McNeil and Tracy (Robert) Sutton; grandchildren, Kristopher (Melissa) McNeil, Brandon McNeil, Haley (Michael Chapman) McNeil-Chapman, Ashley (Steve Stoliker) Sutton and Daniel (Cari) Sutton; great-grandchildren, José, Christian, Haiden, William, Tyler, Noah, Paxton, Remington; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita Hatt; and brothers, Emil and James Linn.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow Hwy., Lansing. His family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or a charity of one’s choice.
