Arlene M. Kessler

Arlene Kessler, a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on August 31, 1938, in Findlay, Ohio. Arlene lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Arlene married the love of her life, Edward, in 1959. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised five children: Bob, Dave, Eric, Dan and Tricia. Arlene was a devoted mother, always putting her family first and ensuring that her home was a place of warmth and comfort. Her kindness, generosity, and infectious spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

As a grandmother, Arlene’s joy knew no bounds. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Ruby Jane, Eleanor, Matt, Tyler, Emily and her ten great-grandchildren. Arlene’s legacy of love and devotion will live on in their hearts.

Arlene was a proud member of Congregation Shaarey Zedek for over fifty years.  As well she enjoyed being involved with the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, The Salvation Army, Kiwanis and many other organizations throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward and her sister, Kay Taylor.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek, 1924 Coolidge Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Congregation Shaarey Zedek or Lansing Area Capital Salvation Army.

Arlene Kessler will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will remain in our hearts forever.

Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

Arlene was a great friend that I had worked with many years at Sears. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. R4st in Peace dear friend
