John G. Murphy

Holt, Michigan

Age 86, passed away on September 1, 2026. He was born on August 15, 1940 to Howard and Barbara Murphy.

John worked for General Motors at the Fisher Body plant; he retired after 30 years. He was a member of the UAW 602 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Murphy; children, Jeff (Jodie) Murphy, Jim (Amy) Murphy, and Jason Murphy; and grandchildren, Nick Murphy, Shannon Murphy, and Anthony Scarmellino. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Carole Murphy.

Per John’s wishes, there will be no service.
